Wine & Cuisine
Cooking lessons for resort guests are held in a large, tiled kitchen with a spacious glass window overlooking the dining room. The resort is dedicated to hospitality, run by a family and a company recognized as one of the top Sicilian wine producers.
The lessons are themed and usually tied to the season, such as Easter recipes or wine-inspired dishes during harvest season, as well as seasonal local ingredients.
a. For the curious and less daring, there’s an option to spend 1 hour in the kitchen with the chef while they prepare dinner, allowing guests to pick up a few small secrets by observing the chef as they cook.
b. A second option offers a 2-hour demonstration lesson, where guests can watch the preparation of three recipes, from selecting ingredients to plating. A glass of wine paired with one of the recipes is offered for tasting, along with a handout describing the recipes.
c. Lastly, there’s a hands-on cooking lesson. This 4-hour course includes a theoretical part, explaining ingredient use, availability, and the history of the recipes, followed by a practical session where participants prepare five recipes under the chef’s supervision. At the end of the lesson, a recipe booklet will be provided.
