Cooking in the Inn
Cooking lessons with a renowned chef who will welcome you into the warm and informal setting of his Inn, located in the historic center of Modica.
The Iblei region, in southeastern Sicily, is considered one of Italy’s most intriguing gastronomic destinations. Wild vegetables, meats, cheeses, legumes, almonds, wines, and more have made these hills a must-visit for food and wine enthusiasts.
The chef’s goal at the Inn is to offer the authentic flavors of traditional Sicilian cuisine from his unique perspective, selecting local products, meats, fish, homemade bread, and more—all at affordable prices.
He loves to recreate traditional peasant dishes: pork sauce, pasta with chickpeas, macco of dried fava beans, and scacce, dishes he will teach you to cook while sharing the secrets of grandmothers and passing on a love for our cuisine. There will also be time dedicated to local sweets, such as lemon or cinnamon geli, sheep’s ricotta cannoli, and Modica chocolate.
At the end of the lesson, take a seat at one of the inn’s tables and enjoy the dishes you have prepared.
